  • Domestic Violence Awareness Month Series: Wear Purple to End Domestic Violence

    Hello Readers,

HAPPY FRIDAY! Today, I've decided to write 3 blog posts dedicated to my Domestic Violence Awareness Month Series! I hope that each these shed light on the subject and empower people to want to get involved!

Domestic Violence Awareness Month has become a phenomena around the country. According to Yankton Press & Dakotan (South Dakota), " The Yankton Women's and Children's Center will be giving out purple awareness ribbons to put on t-shirts or on car antennas to raise awareness of domestic violence."

    Awesome right?

The Yankton Women's and Children's Center believes,"The color purple is used to symbolize injury or suffering as a result of violence."

The Women's and Children's Center would like to encourage everyone around the country to wear purple to represent and show support for Domestic Violence!

    My Thoughts...

I really love seeing how everyone around the United States is supporting Domestic Violence in their own way! I hope that you will get invovled, or at least wear a purple ribbon to signifiy the struggle and pain, but also show support for Domestic Violence as a whole.
